The environment needs it, the customers want it, the outdoor industry takes the subject seriously: sustainability! This is one of the top topics at the first OutDoor by ISPO in Munich. Visitors are very involved with this issue and so the sustainable new concept of the largest outdoor trade fair in Europe is well received, from the gigantic "plastic monster" in the entrance area of the trade fair grounds to the sustainably designed trade fair stands.

The first eye-catcher at OutDoor by ISPO is the plastic monster, which was created from waste from the outdoor industry.
The Shoe Test Track in Hall A5 was built from leftover materials from past trade fairs.
OutDoor by ISPO 2019 - Sustainability
The French brand Picture integrates strong statements on climate change into its clothing.
Sustainability pioneer Patagonia makes clear visual statements on the subject of sustainability at its stand.
Grüetzi Bags uses sheep's wool and down for its sleeping bags.

OutDoor by ISPO also sets new standards with its "Code of Conduct", which gives organizers, exhibitors and visitors concrete recommendations on how to act in a climate-neutral, resource-saving and sustainable way. This Code of Conduct was developed by the OutDoor by ISPO team together with the European Outdoor Group (EOG), the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) and the OutDoor by ISPO Advisory Board.

In all nine halls you can see how present the topic of sustainability is. The sustainability pioneer Patagonia in Hall A6 is particularly exciting. The company has entitled its stand with the neon sign "We're in business to save our home planet". There's no better way to say it.
